Job Title:
ControllerPrimary Location:
Dumfries, VA (Hybrid) Roles and
Responsibilities:
o Maintain accounting system infrastructure and integrity of financial records to ensure timely and accurate financial statements/project data; and collaborate with leadership on the company's financial position o Oversee the design and execution of daily accounting functions, accounting policies, revenue recognition, cost accounting, and the development and implementation of related systems, controls, and procedures o Manage diversified team of accountants, financial analysts, payroll administrators.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members, and be recognized as a trusted leader across the organization o Develop and manage Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)-accepted Indirect Rate structures o Tactical, hands-on support to billing and accounts payable functions o Investigate, advise, influence, and implement new corporate infrastructure systems o Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), contractual requirements, taxes for Federal and State, etc.
o Protects assets of firm by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls, budgets, and accounting policies and procedures o Responsible for tax/regulation compliance, including serving as liaison with external CPA firm for taxes, financial reviews, and audits
Qualifications:
o BA/BS in Accounting or Finance o Prior Managerial experience o Expertise in full-cycle accounting, proven experience in month-end and year-end close-out o Must possess strong Government Contracting Accounting skills, general ledger experience, including in-depth knowledge of assets, liabilities, and equity accounts, as well as indirect rate pools such as Fringe, Overhead, and General and Administrative o Experience working with DCAA and preparing Provisional Rate submissions and Incurred Cost Submissions, o 10 years' experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager; Government Cost Accounting; and Government Contracting ERP/Financial Accounting system experience required (Unanet, Deltek GCS/Costpoint, etc.
) o Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Preferred

o Unanet o CPA o Experience with Public Accounting Firm o MA/MS in Accounting or Finance Recommended Skills Accounts Payable Administration Auditing Billing Consulting Federal Acquisition Regulation Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
